You know all those videos of people being like SF is not a real place it's usually college student interning in SF telling a story of them getting ignored by someone to an Ivy Plus school or have a high signal internship or something and I remember when I first came to SF I'd be like the people who ignore me are not smart because if they truly were VC minded they would know to treat everyone politely because anyone could be the next big thing and now that I'm in my late 20s I'm kind of like ugh it's not that someone without a high signal background can't do something big in fact we're all rooting for you and hope you do prove us wrong but it's more just like the odds young people I think definitely can do big things but if I meet someone my age in a work context and let's be real everything in SF is a work context haven't worked anywhere exciting they haven't built anything exciting and they haven't gone to a good school like shoot me but odds are not looking good that they'll suddenly turn and suddenly become the next Mark Zuckerberg like I don't know am I just too SF pills
