It was a crazy day for tech launches yesterday. Now that we're getting into the fall fundraising season, everyone and their mom is going to do a launch and yesterday was a duo. Welcome to my series Bulliverish where we discuss startup launches and give unlisted takes about whether they're GI or NGI. First, the one that everyone's talking about Poki from the interaction company of California. They released the consumer AI companion/ assistant that responds to emails for you, schedules things, looks up transit instructions, etc, etc. Beautiful cinematic launch video, no expense of spare, 10 out of 10. The reason why are getting so much buzz is that you have to bargain with Pokie to get the best possible subscription price. And some people have gone it down to $0.99 cents a month, but a lot of people are stuck at $79 a month. This is an amazing growth hack because everyone posts about it gets their friends to try it so they can compete against each other keeps talking about it. A lot of people have been calling this the most human-like AI chatbot they've tried. And I think the product learning to take away here is that to feel human-like the bot needs to be opined and stand firm on its personality. Pokie doesn't try to be different for everyone. It's It's just itself 100% of the time like a human is to be. Another takeaway is that Poki launched with this same exact bargain with the chatbot gimmick earlier this year, but this is the launch that got all the butts, which you should basically take as this lesson of like truly the move is to launch early and often. No remember your small launch if it's bad and you'll always launch bigger again in the future. So, overall, I'm bullish. Next up, we have on the flip side of the coin friend.com and also motion, which will be covered in the next episode.
