Canadians, if you are looking for the best credit card in Canada right now, I have it right here and it is the Amex Cobalt and let me tell you why. This video is not sponsored. This card does have a monthly fee of $16, but it's probably still worth it for you and let me explain how. First of all, this card gives you 5 times the points on food and drink, which means restaurants, bars, cafes, grocery stores, and food delivery etc. So that means if you're spending between $250 to $300 a month on food and drink, then you already get your money's worth. You also get 3 times points on streaming subscriptions, which includes this entire list here. Two times the points on gas, transit and ride share. And 1 point for every $1 on purchases everywhere else. The main downside that a lot of people talk about when you use this card is that you get Amex points, not traditional cashback. And of course, the main use for Amex points is travel. So if you don't like traveling or you don't plan on traveling, then you may be better off getting a traditional cashback instead of this one.
