What if I told you you could get an internship at Apple, win free Airpod Maxes and attend Apple's annual developer conference just by doing one thing. Hi, I'm May, a CS major at the University of Waterloo and I won Apple's Swift student challenge last year in 2025. Then I got an internship at Apple and attended WDC at Apple Park. That was the year they released liquid glass and I got to meet Craig and Tim Cook. I was literally sitting a few rows behind them. So, to answer your question, yes, the Swift student challenge is insanely worth it to apply and can help you get an internship at Apple. Let me tell you what this challenge is. It's a worldwide hackathon hosted by Apple with 350 winners every single year. You have to submit an iOS app and the rules are, one, you have to be in school. Two, it has to be an app playground under 25 megabyte and three, there cannot be any network dependency. This year submission are open until February 28th and I highly recommend that you apply.
