Hook

I'm going to say something that might sound shallow, but stick with me because it's actually reality. Life literally revolves around money. You want to feel more confident in how you look, that costs money. You want to travel and see this big beautiful world, that costs money. You want to donate to causes that you care about, that costs money. You want more time with your kids instead of a second job, that costs money. You want options, real options when life gets hard, money buys those too. And I know some people will hear this and think, wow, that's so materialistic, but I'm not talking about being rich. I'm not talking about shopping sprees at Louis Vuitton. Most people actually don't want that. What I'm talking about is enough freedom to actually live the life that you want instead of the one that you can afford. So why are we spending hours every single day scrolling content, but less than five minutes each month thinking about our money? Most people know more about a Netflix show than their own financial situation. I guess this is why I'm so passionate about personal finance, because I have seen what happens when people get just a little intentional with money. Not perfect, just intentional. Specifically with increasing their income, things start to open up, the stress gets quieter, the options get bigger. If you spend just a quarter of the time on your finances that you spend on entertainment, your life would look dramatically different in one year, I promise you that.
