3 pleasant surprises from my OpenClaw this week

So I have had my open claw installed for a week now and I have been so impressed by it. I am by no means an expert, but I wanted to share three pleasant surprises that I've had with my open ball this week. Number one is that it can learn by watching a video. So I had a workflow that I wanted my open claw to perform and automate for me. And this process involves multiple systems where there's a lot of executions on each. So instead of writing out exactly what I needed it to do. I sent my open claw a three-minute video that shows the entire process. And here's the magic. From this video, my openclaw extracted 185 frames and from analyzing each frame, it was able to understand and map out the entire process without me saying a word. That is so impressive. Number two is that it was able to do a lot of the work that I couldn't do with vibe coding. Some of you might know, I've been sharing my weekly journey on vibe coding. And on week 45, I was actually stuck on a problem that it couldn't solve because I needed to pull together multiple systems and organize and pass along information between I think for an experienced developer, this may not be a problem, but for someone who is a beginner like myself, I couldn't get this done even with my vibe coding tools. But open cloud on the other hand was able to do everything as I described. He was able to understand my ask, pull information from systems that I needed and then it wrote its own script and then piece them all together. Something that would have been impossible for me to do before vibe coding, maybe take me a couple weeks with vibe coding, now takes me less than an hour with open cloud. And my third pleasant surprise is that open cloud actually has has a high level of agency. For example, I asked it to pull information from a system that can then be used to build a dashboard that then triggers some actions. In addition to following my orders and displaying what I asked it to display in the dashboard, it also suggested some bonus features that it thinks makes sense. As I'm validating some of the outputs, if I find that there are errors or clarifications or things that didn't go as expected, open cloud is able to go and fix itself and they will never make a mistake ever again. All this just through chat without a single line of code. This is like every boss's favorite employee who is able to execute, learn from their mistakes and has great ideas for suggestions. So tireless to say, I've been very happy with my open claw and I can't wait to keep playing with it.
