In just 60 seconds, I’ll teach you how to build your very first project with Claude Code. Welcome to Claude Code 101. First, download Claude Code into your terminal using this command. It looks scary, it takes just a few seconds. Next, get Claude up and running by typing Claude. Now, think of a fun project to build and ask it to build it for you. I’m asking Claude to build me a virtual Rubik’s cube for me to play when I’m bored. And to see how it’s looking, ask it to open up a preview for you. Now, here’s some things to know if you wanna use Claude like a software engineer, because Opus 4.6 just came out, making Claude Code the best coding model in the world. No.1 use Plan Mode before you build anything. Hit SHIFT + TAB twice and Claude will ask the right questions and break its approach up into tasks, making for a much smoother coding process. No.2 create a CLAUDE.md file. It’s like onboarding a new developer. You tell Claude your project rules. Now, every time you start a session, it already knows how to work. Here’s a look at mine if you wanna copy it. No.3 don’t be afraid to run multiple Claude Code instances at once. I use one to be my planner, the other to be my executor, and the other to check the executor’s work. Comment Claude and I’ll send you my free 1-hour Claude Code 101 walkthrough video, as well as a link to get started with Claude Code today.
