I'm afraid to admit this but… 1️⃣ I didn't understand what a budget was or why I needed one until I was 30. I paid my bills, saved, even paid cash for my master's degree. But I had no idea how to make my money actually *work* for me. 2️⃣ I barely contributed to my Roth IRA until embarrassingly recently. Now I'm 37, playing catch-up with ~$30k saved. Way less than I should have at my income level. 3️⃣ I didn't understand my money values until my 30s. So many purchases were really just me chasing respect and admiration from others. Looking back, it feels silly. 4️⃣ I've had nothing but failure after failure trying to build a business for 7 years. Multiple side hustles started and shut down. My content business is the first thing that finally feels like something I'm genuinely good at. 5️⃣ When I was younger, income was everything and I sacrificed my health, relationships, and mental wellbeing for jobs that underpaid me. That shift in the last 6-7 years has made my life so much more fulfilling. 6️⃣ I still struggle with scarcity mindset. Even with 6 months of savings and a stable career, I'm constantly braced for the worst. 7️⃣ I genuinely worry I'll never be able to retire. I worry that healthcare, housing, and the general cost of living will keep me working, forever. So I'm investing as aggressively as I can, right now. Which of these resonated? 👇 If and of these hit home, I made a free beginner's personal finance checklist (Money Freedom Framework) to help you get your money organized, even if it's your very first time. Grab it in my bio! 🤍
