Here's my current net worth as a high earning 37-year-old who prioritizes saving and investing, living in Houston, Texas. And y'all are always so nosy, so let's break it down. As always, starting with the cash account. I currently have $48,798 and cash. And you might think this is too much cash, but my needs are not your needs and you and I will be different and that's okay. Now let's move to the investment accounts. I have been contributing to a 401k for the last 15 years, but only maxing it out for the last eight years. I have always had a match between 5 and 7%. So the current balance this month in my 401k is $609,410. I am so embarrassed to admit that I did not realize the importance of a Roth IRA, so I'm working on this one. I just did my Roth conversion for 2023. The balance is now $40,149. For my taxable brokerage, the balance is $142,146. I have an employer defined contribution plan, which is a form of pension. It has a balance of $103,934. My HSA is sitting at $20,080. I have a small percentage of speculative investments in cryptocurrency. I have $18,889 between Ethereum and Bitcoin. Right now I own two properties. But in September, I am divesting my primary residence and moving back into my rental property. The total value of my real estate this month is at $912,200. The estimated value of my vehicles is $21,000. For those of you complaining about including your car's value in your net worth, it is an asset, a depreciating asset. Now let's move to the liabilities. I don't have any other debt besides my mortgages. The outstanding balance of my mortgages totals $649,443. This is my current credit card balance. This gets paid in full every month. This comes out to a total net worth of $1,262,033. Sorry, one of my accounts updated between filming and editing. $1,262,033. My first salary out of college was $40,000 and I've been tracking saving and investing with intention for the last seven years.
