Roth IRA
Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
So I just did something the other day that really at my age, someone's gonna say, why in the hell are you doing that? But let me tell you what I did and why. And hopefully the rational makes sense and it'll let you know that it's never too late to start investing in something. So what I just did was I just turned 55 a couple days ago and I opened a Roth IRA account. Now, I have other IRA accounts, I have another Roth and I have a few different portfolios. But the whole idea of why I opened this Roth IRA is to give me another layer of future wealth that I can draw from without paying taxes. Now, I'm traditionally a long-term investor, but I will use this Roth IRA, I believe I'm gonna use it to trade a little bit. Again, because it's all going to be tax-free money when I go to take, um, a disbursement out of it. Why not take a little bit extra risk? At the end of the day, you can only put a couple thousand dollars in this account a year anyway. So I kind of see it as having another account to draw from eventually, tax-free before I take money out of my main two or three portfolios. But I'm super excited about this next chapter. I opened it on Robinhood, um, as, you know, I'm really loving Robinhood lately. So let's see what happens.
