Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
So here's my take on what's been the wildest kind of six seven days since last week because SpaceX debuts tomorrow, Friday the 12th. And on the last week for semiconductors, chip stocks, AI as a whole, it's it's kind of been a bloodbath, right? So so what happened and what's going on? Well, if you're a retail investor and you want to get into SpaceX, there's only certain platforms or brokerage accounts which allow you to get a chance. Robinhood is one, E-Trade's another, and there's a few other ones out there. But basically, what you have to do is say, hey, I want to buy 10 shares, 50 shares, whatever that is, and then you have to make sure there's enough liquid capital in that account to cover those shares when it goes public. So what do you do? You have to sell off these high-performing stocks that you've been holding forever with great profit margins. You have to sell them off to have enough capital to get into SpaceX. You hope, there's no guarantee you're going to get those. So that's I think what's happened. And then also large institutional investors, they're going to buy up large chunks of SpaceX. So what do you have to do? You have to sell off a lot of your winners to generate a lot of kind of cash on hand to buy in. So you've had this massive sell event, not for any negative news necessarily, it's just all it's called sucking the air out of the market. The largest IPO by far in history is going to happen tomorrow. Everybody wants a piece of it. I thought about it for a second. I'm like, you know, this this is setting up to be a disaster. I remember when Facebook went public, I watched that for the first year until things settled and then I bought in year two. I think it's going to be a wild ride tomorrow. I think even for the next few weeks, it's going to be a wild ride. One thing to consider though, I saw something this morning that said there's a $70 billion demand for these shares in the retail side, you and me. Well, the allocation to the market is only about, I think it was like, it's like 20 billion or 15 billion, something like that. So that's a whole lot of billions that want to get into SpaceX that's not going to get in, at least right away. Couple things are going to happen. They're going to start pushing up their price to get in, but even even those that really want it, everybody has a price where it's like, okay, that's too much. So let's let's cut that number in half and say there's another 15, 20, 30 billion that doesn't get into SpaceX. What do you think they're going to do? They're going to go back to semis, they're going to go back to AI, they're going to go back into what I call the SpaceX halo stocks, things around SpaceX. And you're going to see those, I think, rebound quite hard. Now, that's my opinion and not a financial advisor, but the last week is probably the most interesting week I've seen in 25 years of investing. Again, the largest IPO appears tomorrow, debuts tomorrow. A lot of people are going to put a lot of money into these, probably far more than they should risk, because there is going to be lockup periods that expire and the people that have held stock for so long in SpaceX when it was private, they're going to want out and they're going to get massive amounts of money. So a lot of volatility will happen in the next couple weeks. I'd be interested to, are you one of the ones that made my stocks go down because you want to get into SpaceX? I'd love to hear your point of view, but I'll be watching like everybody else tomorrow and for the coming weeks to see what happens. But ultimately, I believe my trades of AI, data centers, space stuff, quantum, and defense tech is still going to do well over the long term. Good luck tomorrow if you're getting into SpaceX.
