One day I was bored of working in finance, wishing there was more to life...
So I decided to quit and start my own eyewear brand
Recruited my boyfriend who was initially hesitant (totally fair, this was idea 100001)
My first product ideas were a little rough but good thing I took art class very seriously at school...
Many manufacturers had minimum order quantities (MOQs) that BLEW our minds but we found a few who took a chance on us
And these technical drawings we started with made no sense (i thought I was really really smart though)
Finally left my finance job and went all in
My MD said I would regret it. I took this photo on my way out of the office and took it as a positive sign (still scary tho)
Ordered a $25 light box on Amazon to take product pics to save $$$
It took me over 10 tries to get this right at first, but now I'm an old pro
But splashed out $6k+ for a creative team with fashion editorial experience (totally unnecessary, btw, you can fully shoot a baby brand launch campaign with a G7X and a dream)
Oh well, we live and learn
So here I am, doing some it myself (on zero budget) and some of it with freelance creatives on more frugal budgets
Anyway, big influencers started organically picking us up. Have never spent on an influencer (and probs never will)
This is our product front row at Paris fashion week, 4 months post launch
The best is yet to come ❤️
We have an insane runway collab this month
A new campaign dropping next month
Potential IRL pop up in the works 👀
PLUS USA ecomm expansion ongoing !!
The dream works as long as you never give up!
