DIML AS A FOUNDER Scaling my brand from 6 to 7 fic my boyfriend and I launched our eyewear brand seven months ago with a goal of hitting six figures in revenue in our first year and we did it in five months so now we're at the point where we're moving from launch to scale and we've set a new goal of trying to 10 x our business in the next 18 months we're London founded and London based brand but the US has consistently been one of our biggest markets since we've started so this week I've flown back to the US where I grew up to stay with my mom for a little bit and work on our US expansion which includes making our first hire and literally who knew that hiring people is so scary but it's like you're giving away a little piece of your baby because when you're in launch you spend so much time working in your business doing everything end to end but it's increasingly become so clear to me that in the scale phase of your business that is just not possible you have to be working on your business more rather than in your business and a huge part of that is just relinquishing control and honestly I think this is where a lot of brands definitely lose their way because when you're growing so quickly it's so difficult for you as a founder to be everywhere all at once 24 hours a day and the people that you bring into your business are going to make or break it so follow along and I'll be showing you behind the scenes of everything about what it's like scaling your brand from six to seven figures
