How much money I spent in a month living in San Francisco 💸 💰 26 y/o, marketing manager & creatorpreneur HOUSING: $4,773 (includes rent & utilities) 1b1b in a managed building! I love having my own space that feels spacious and peaceful. I recently moved to this apt last year! GROCERIES: $143 EATING OUT: $769 Some of the eating out budget was to cover for friends & family who visited ❤️ I love trying out new restaurants in SF and spending quality time with friends over meals. I cook a decent amount but also eat around half of my lunches at work HEALTH/FITNESS: $234 I have a classpass membership (for lagree classes) & I recently joined a volleyball league! My work also reimburses 1/3 of this cost TRANSPORTATION: $418 Rideshare, parking meters, muni (bus system), BART Didn't bother bringing my car to SF because my building charges $400/month for parking, and gas + outside parking fees would've really added up TRAVEL: $3,800 Booked a summer trip for me and my parents! I cover all of the vacation costs for my family because they've sacrificed so much for me and it's my way of appreciating them ❤️ SUBSCRIPTIONS: $425 I had an annual renewal for my Capital One Venture X card (love the travel perks), then Netflix & Lemonade (renter's insurance) SALARIES: ~$6,000 Through my business I pay out salaries to myself and a team member to cover operational costs This was a higher than usual spending month for me. Despite all of it, my overall assets still increased, mostly due to the recent stock market bull run 🐂 Over the last few years I worked my tail off (developing career capital), kept my expenses low, and invested consistently to get to this current point. I've fully seen my efforts from my early 20s compound after a few years of consisistence & persistence, which has set up the foundation to allow more flexibility in the present I hope this inspires you to create your dream life!!!
