Here's a list of things I refuse to manually do in 2026. 1. Rebuild charts. 2. Clean CSVs. 3. Rewrite reporting summaries. 4. Formal slides. 5. Manually prep meeting notes. Respectfully, I have to manually update another spreadsheet before a leadership update, I may actually lose it. So lately, I've been using Codex for all those weird little work tasks that somehow consume your entire afternoon. I dropped in the messy reporting data, customer feedback, meeting notes, and a spreadsheet that genuinely looked like a crime scene. And instead of me having to bounce between Excel, slides, docs, dashboards, 12 different browser tabs, Codex handled that workflow all in one place. It cleaned the data, found the important insights, generated charts, summarized the notes, and turned it into an actual update that I could use. I feel like half the time in corporate jobs we're just taking information from one rectangle and moving it into another rectangle. Oh, and then I had to prep the leadership update meeting too, because apparently corporate life is just a bunch of administrative side quests. What I really like is that it still feels collaborative. I'm still deciding what matters, what story we're telling, and what gets prioritized, but it removes so much of that annoying manual work and context switching. And I know I'm not the only one tired of doing this manually.
