This is what a $1 million team slide looks like We just led a $1 million pre-seed round into a solo founder pre-product pre-revenue It's the best team slide I've ever seen in all my years in VC So I'm gonna actually show you her team slide and show you why it's great So first of all the team slide is just about her Often times when you have a founder who's solo they wanna add a bunch of information about all of their advisors and try to aggregate clout by adding more people But really the full time people at a pre-seed startup are the people we're gonna judge you by And I love that she just took the whole slide talk about herself This is Sarina She's the founder and CEO She's giving me a one liner that's basically saying she has built and scaled products from zero to one She was No 12 at Postmates obviously acquired by Uber and then she's been at Apple and Meta She's saying like I've seen some shit people like this is not my first Rodeo She literally says that And I love that she's kind of coming out and being like I'm experienced Often times on team slides you see Harvard Stanford Often times in the comments people are just invested in this cause the person went to Harvard or Stanford I could not care less if you went to Harvard or Stanford Do you know how many people I pass on that went to Harvard and Stanford One of the things I love she doesn't tell me where she went to school Cause guess what it doesn't really matter to me What she is doing is saying Here are the four things that make me a fit for this Not my first zero-to-one I move fast and think big Commerce instinct. Consumer obsession. Creator first Insider perspective. So she's not saying I'm the best at this the best at that. She's saying here are the four reasons why I'm someone to back And then she's lining up the pedigree that I actually care about which is her operating track record Postmates Apple Meta Amazon Glam Squad Like I love that she's hitting me with those brands I've always been ahead of the curve — building products that don't just follow consumer behavior, but shape it.
