The only reason I hit quota as an SDR was because I would cold call Australians at 9 or 10 p.m. at night when I lived in Chicago. And here's a hot take Australians are by far my favourite country to sell to. Not sure why, but we always got along really, really well. Actually, I do know why. They're way more chill. If they like you, they'll tell you they like you. If they don't like you, they'll tell you also they don't like you. And I had one time in Australia and call me out early in my sales career and he's like well mate, drop all the sales stuff, just talk and just be chill. This is how it works in Australia. He was 100% right. I'm so glad that that happened. And my most successful clients were usually from Australia. And so if you're living in the States, you're typically going to be missing out on a huge market with actually a lot of cash to spend. And they're very forward thinking. So if you're in the States and you sell a product, particularly software, cold call email Australians. But just know they they, at least in my experience, they run off relationship. So if they can sense you're pulling weird sales tactics, they'll back off. But if they sense you're chill and you're just like a normal guy, just like them, they'll work with you. Totally down to do more videos like this, I've sold to Canada, UK, Ireland, Sweden, Germany, Japan, South Korea(amazing clients), China, Hong Kong, Mexico, France, Spain. I could make this a series if you guys want, but comment which countries you want me to do next in terms of my experience selling to and what the culture was and how to do business and how to make sales.
