LESSON #5 everything I Learned At Goldman Sachs Most people get suckered into borrowing money to buy an expensive car to then get stuck hanging off for the next three years. But at Goldman we learned that taking on debt could actually save you money. See when you take out a loan there's an interest payment. And for us common people we just have to pay that, it's expensive. But when a business takes out a loan, they're able to use that interest payment as a deduction on their tax bill. So the debt ends up being a shield against taxes. Theoretically borrow at 4% invest for 8 to 12% return. So debt can be leverage that can help you grow your business faster than you could alone. But there's no free lunch in life... So be smart. Be prudent. For Lesson #6 Oh these are sour.
