I think what Ramp did was pay Kevin from The Office to sit inside a glass box for seven hours doing taxes. Ramp is a finance app that helps people with their expenses. Not exactly an exciting product. So instead of running another generic boring ad to do completely hired The Office to be the accountant for the day. They sealed him in a clear box in a busy public street, there processing receipts and doing accounting. The crazy part was hundreds and hundreds of people showed up all to watch Kevin and videos. The whole thing went absolutely social viral over social media. Some of the clips racked up over 85 million views. This is genius, because this shows that even the most boring industries can do exciting marketing campaign that grabs attention. Do you think that this was a little far?
