The Search for the Perfect BLT: Part 2 🥓🍅 Today’s stop: Downtown Eats. Why is it so hard to find a really good BLT?! This one wasn’t terrible… but it definitely wasn’t anything special. It came with three thin slices of bacon. At least they didn’t crisscross it into an X this time, so thank you for that. I still had to rearrange it myself so every bite actually had bacon. The lettuce looked fresh, but the tomato? They literally gave me the butt end of it… you know, the part where they had to cut the core out. It wasn’t even really red. More orange than anything. The bread was only toasted on one side, there was no mayo, and nobody even offered it. Overall, it was just… a BLT. ⭐ 5/10 The search continues. Somewhere out there is a BLT loaded with thick, crispy bacon, juicy red tomatoes, toasted bread on BOTH sides, and enough mayo to make me question my life choices. Until then… I’ll keep taking one for the team. 🫡🥓 #blt #lunch #dallas #georgia #foodreview
