I heard that you're trying to get rid of some of this after having your baby. But your ribs are stuck like this. Here's the thing, my friend. If your ribs stay stuck like this, your diaphragm can't move properly and your core is a pressure system. And you probably notice that your breaths stay shallow and you don't really feel your lower core engage like it should. So we gotta work on some rib mobility, my friend, to get those ribs to come down, to get fuller, longer breaths. That way our core can manage the pressure properly like it's supposed to. All right, so now I want to show you some exercises on what we just talked about. And we can get those ribs to come down, get some better alignment, and then we have these 90/90 drills. The first one is going to be this 90/90 drill. So you're going to set up like this with your feet flat against the wall. Then you're going to push your heels into the wall. And did you see what that just did to my pelvis? Pushing your feet up against the wall helps hook your pelvis underneath you, putting it in a slight posterior tilt. That way, your ribs and pelvis can be in better alignment. Your core can turn on. Next, we have these 90/90 barrel rolls. You're going to push your heels into the wall so we can get that good pelvic scoop, posterior tilt again. And then we're going to zip up from pelvic floor to core as they become off of the ground. And then we have these serratus presses. Take a yoga block, place it on one side, place your hand on top of it. Place the other hand on the ground. This exercise helps target the serratus anterior, which is here, and this muscle helps keep your ribs down and connected. Inhale 360 into your ribs. Exhale and press up off of the yoga block.
