Which one gets HIRED? Are You More Than interested depends if you wanna be forgettable... if you're interviewing for a job or you're networking juicy I'm gonna show you how to yap about your side quest and hobbies so that you can actually get more career opportunities it requires this thing that I like to call net letting people into your world is part of the bargain of making successful connections I know you feel icky talking about yourself and there's a few you don't think your hobbies and side quests are interesting enough 2 you worry people will think you're full of yourself 3 you don't think it's the right place or the right time in a work environment I'm gonna do both of us a favor and debunk all of those for you first what's labeled interesting is not manufactured by outside it's determined by you the if you don't think what you do outside of work is interesting no one else is gonna which is why being interested and asking questions of others so that you can see if they are interesting to too much could lead to you being your first impression needs to include your hobbies and your side quests I don't wanna hear it nope because if you wait you risk overthinking and overcomparing second it's not about what you did in that experience the experience I literally went scuba diving two weeks ago for the first time and do you think I just say I went scuba diving when I go networking no I say I love the ocean and I finally had the courage to actually go see what the hell is going and I actually got to see sharks which I did not expect to see and the training and the work leading up to it was absolutely worth it finally the person you are outside of being paid to do things is delivering authenticity confidence in your character incredibly memorable to a hiring manager and make good connections and grow your career you need to yap more about your lived experiences outside of work more than you think not in a self centered way but in an exciting way
