I'm gonna tell you the unspoken rules in an interview that will be the reason why you get the job that no one is telling you. I promise this works. Cause I'm literally gonna hire someone this week who followed these steps. Day before your interview, send them a message and say, looking forward to our conversation tomorrow, confirming that this time works. Almost immediately after the interview, send a note saying why you're excited to continue the process, how your skills align with the role, and that you're looking forward to hearing the next steps. You should be proactively following up with them every week. If you don't hear for every interview, make sure you're reading the news about the company, reading the podcast or articles that are about the person you're interviewing with. Come with proactive questions based on something specifically that that person has done. And tell them all the things that you did to prepare so you can get credit for your research.
