Here's how to fix it in two simple steps. First, review your guest first. Leave them five stars. Most hosts wait for the guests to leave a review, then respond. That's backwards. Here's what happens when you flip it. The second you submit the review for your guest, Airbnb sends them a notification. It says, your host left you a review. Leave one back to see it. That curiosity gets them to open the app and review you. Second, tell them you left them a five star review and would love if they could return the favor. This triggers a natural reciprocity obligation. If they had a great stay, they're going to leave five star reviews almost every time. If you wait for them to do it on their own, half of them never get around to it. You can automate leaving the review and the message to the guest. It takes no time, no cost.
