AP EXAMS YOU CAN SELF STUDY FOR

AP exams you can self study for. AP exams that I think a lot of high school students actually don't have to waste a class period on and can self study for. The first is AP statistics. Now, this is kind of a controversial opinion because while AP statistics is an AP exam that a lot of students self study for, the pass rate on that exam is not as high. So assess how well you understand the prerequisites to this class, though I will say you really only need to take up to high school level geometry in order to do well and understand the concepts on AP statistics. Another reason I think you should self study for this exam is because a lot of students aren't given the opportunity to take both AP calculus AB and AP stats because there's just not enough space in their schedules. So I would recommend taking AP stats alongside a year where you're in precalculus or algebra two. I think that's a good strategy so that you're not overwhelming yourself with math. The second is AP microeconomics and AP macroeconomics. Honestly, after having taken both AP calculus AB and AP macroeconomics, I don't think a lot of the concepts are actually that hard. I think there's also so many resources online for you to do well. You can literally do Khan Academy and I think that that is a good resource for you to at least get the foundation of this AP exam. Um, it's definitely not as hard as other AP social sciences. So this is another good one that you can self study for. Also because AP macro or AP micro are both semester classes and if you take the whole year to study, you know, you can do that at a part-time hour level. I will say self-study for AP exams only matters to the extent that you want to submit more test scores to colleges. Um, and so if you want to self study for an exam that you're interested in and that's connected to something say that you might want to study in college, I think it's worth it. But for most people, I actually don't think self studying for AP exams is worth it. I know this is hyper around taking a lot of AP exams and submitting a lot of AP scores to colleges, but it's really not worth your mental health. Um, so only do it if you truly are passionate about the subject and it is something that you, you know, might want to study in college.
