Mack is URGENT!! ID (16950) Kennel (57) READ HIS STORY ⬇️ 💔 The happiest goodbye became the hardest hello. After being adopted, Mack was surrendered to another shelter nearly five hours away… just 56 days later… The first part of this video shows Officer Katie happily saying goodbye to her favorite shelter dog after he was finally adopted. The second part shows her having to welcome him back after learning he had ended up in another shelter… 💔😭 Mack first arrived @CCAS as a stray with a microchip on February 26. He spent months waiting for a family, landed on the urgent list, and came heartbreakingly close to never making out of the shelter. When he was adopted on May 5, everyone celebrated. We truly believed he had finally found the happy ending he deserved… Then, on June 30, the shelter received a call from a shelter in Savannah. Mack had been surrendered there. 😭💔 Thankfully, an incredible team came together to bring him back. A staff member from the Savannah shelter drove about 2½ hours, and Cobb County volunteer Janet drove about 2½ hours from the other direction. They met halfway so Mack could be safely transferred back Marietta. His adopter had nothing but wonderful things to say about him. Mack is potty trained, dog-friendly, calm, sweet, full of energy, loves belly rubs, and showed no signs of resource guarding. Unfortunately, due to a change in life circumstances, they could no longer keep him. 🥺 We are all incredibly worried about Mack. He is only 2 years old, and because he is now back at the shelter after already spending months there before his adoption, he is once again extremely urgent. Please help us find Mack the forever home he has always deserved.
