I was wrong about this wheelchair! When I first reviewed the XSTO M4 (ad- pr loan) , I said it was slow & I couldn’t stand the constant beeping. Then I got a comment asking if I’d tried it in Sport Mode, turns out, I hadn’t. I’ve now spent months using it properly & it completely changed my experience. So here’s my updated review. You can head to my website for the full review and you can use code JENNI10 for 10% off! One of my favourite features is still the height-adjustable seat. It raises & lowers, making it easier to reach cupboards, fit under tables, transfer & chat to people closer to eye level. It also folds much flatter for transport. It handles a wide range of terrain well too. I’ve used it on pavements, grass, gravel, kerbs and slopes & it’s coped with all of them easily. One clever feature is that it automatically keeps you level on hills, making you feel much more stable. One thing I have learnt though is not to race downhill. If you go too fast, the auto-levelling can get a little overenthusiastic, so taking hills at a sensible speed gives you a much smoother ride. It also breaks down into three pieces to fit in a car boot. It fits in our car surprisingly well, even with the higher support backrest fitted. The downside is that the pieces are fairly heavy and awkward to lift, and although taking it apart is straightforward, putting it back together definitely takes practice. Because of that, I’d probably recommend it most to people with a WAV, support to lift it, or a vehicle where it can stay together for transport. The omnidirectional front wheels make it incredibly manoeuvrable, whether you’re weaving around shops, navigating restaurants or turning in tighter spaces. I’d also recommend spending time with the manual. There are lots of settings you can personalise, and as Sport Mode proved, they can completely change your experience of the chair. Sometimes the best reviews come from admitting you got something wrong, and this is definitely one of those times. If you've got any questions about the XSTO M4, pop them in the comments and I'll do my best to answer them. #XSTOM4 #PowerchairReview #WheelchairLife
