Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
She didn't build a startup. She didn't create a product. But she built an image of herself and turned it into a business eventually. Maya Diab. No, my hair was just fine. I came out of the French revolution. Most people know Maya Diab as a singer. But before she became a star, she did everything. When she was just 16 years old, she won a medal in Studio Al Fan. When she was just starting out, she was part of The 4 Cats and technically this is where her career started. She wasn't an OG member. She came in after Nicole Saba left. So technically she was replacing another star and still she became very successful. Then she became her own brand. She became Maya. Okay in this part. Maya wasn't just a solo singer and that's it. If anything it was the opposite. She had constant visibility. She dabbled in music, TV, hosting, acting. Truthfully she became known because her style was bold and all eyes were on her. Through all this, people didn't just like her music, they became loyal fans who call themselves Diabers. And with every controversy, all the spotlights were on her. Her business model is built on presence. Her income comes from concerts, music, brand partnerships. Her image is the real product. And when the image and presence become the money maker, wherever she goes she makes money and becomes more valuable. After 20 years, she's still here and still strong. So what can we learn from Maya Diab? Fame alone, you need to capture attention and convert it to make money. You don't always have to sell a product nor have a business. Sometimes you are the business. And honestly it's fair to say that staying relevant in the entertainment world is an accomplishment of itself. As usual, let me know in the comments whom to discuss next time.
