Put a finger down. If you had a brand for six years and you built it from ground up with no investments, all bootstrapped, you were a makeup artist also for the past 13 years, you used all your experience, all your data to create the best products. Then you had a baby, and lots of things are happening at once. It was too much work. Your business wasn't doing what you wanted it to do. Yes, you're getting sales, but you weren't happy with the product. You weren't happy with what it was doing. You weren't happy with your manufacturing in house, so you closed it. Outsourced manufacturing, which was supposed to take three months, ended up taking nine months because you're a perfectionist and you just want the best products, and it wasn't giving that. So then you change manufacturers again, and then you flew to Asia, China, Korea, trying to get the best formulas, strip down your products line, simplified your product offering, took away products, added products, made them better than before. Then went into a legal battle with your current manufacturers because they didn't wanna give you your formulas that you created because they knew that your brand is gonna do very well, and they wanted to make sure that you work with them for the next 10 to 20 years. So they tried to angle you with legal documents and a legal battle where they said that they own your formulas even though you created them. So then that delayed production by another three months while you're working with your lawyers and disputing your manufacturers. Then they eventually gave in because they realised that it's a losing battle and you own your formulas. That delayed the reopening even more. And in that you had no backup plan. You had no plan B. KEM is all you've known. You know it's gonna grow into something amazing. And you just had to sit down, sit tight and have faith in God. You won the legal battle, you've got your products, they have been completed. You've had some issues with packaging, so you had to redo some packaging. It has been a long road. It has been 14 months. Everyone and their mum, dad, cat and dog is asking you where the brand is, where you're going, when you're coming back. Is the brand coming back? Some people even angry at you because their skin loves your products. And then you just paused and it seems selfish of you. All that while being a full time mum, a new mum at that, navigating so many different challenges in her life and more challenges and changes to come. But your brand is finally reopening, your products in transit. It's on its way and you've never been happier. And now we wait 30 days.
