I'm not making colored clay mochi, but I'm making something inspired by the Aveda One for All Leave-in Elixir. There are 25 plant-powered benefits in one bottle. So I'm choosing colour safe as my inspiration for this piece. I love that this is for all hair types and it adds hydration instantly back to my hair. I'm using the narikoami technique by mixing in the colour pigments directly into the clay itself, creating a beautiful rainbow clay effect. I know the colours look so dull right now, but I promise once this glaze, the colour will shock you. And I'm draping it over this slump mold to get a shape that I want. In a second, we're gonna see how the glaze brings the colour back to life. It shocks me every single time seeing the colours pop so much more after glazed firing. Glaze is like the magic ingredient for ceramic, just like the One for All Leave-in Elixir is for my hair. I use it to detangle my hair before doing a blow out.
