Things nobody tells you before coming to Ohio State part 2. The best way to make friends early on is to go to Welcome Week and join a couple clubs. You'll meet so many freshman there and they're all looking for new friends. A 15 minute gap in between classes on the other side of campus is not enough time. Dining dollars disappear so quicker than you think. They reset every semester. Yes, you can use it to grab up Starbucks. If you do that, they will be gone in a month. Just a heads up. This is such a big one, especially if you aren't from Ohio. Bring snow boots and bring rain boots. Last year we had two feet of snow. Snow boots if you didn't want cold wet feet. Same with rain boots, the streets flood really bad, you're gonna want rain boots. Trust me. Football Saturdays take over the entire university. So if you live in Morrill or Lincoln Tower, those roads are actually blocked off because of the stadium. You will not be able to get anything delivered. You will not get an Uber to pick you up. Just a fair warning ahead of time. You're gonna need to know that. Also buy washer detergent sheets, not the little pods. They work so much better. If you got football tickets and decided you don't wanna go to a game anymore, make sure to resell them on Ohio State's website.
