Things nobody tells you before coming to Ohio State. First, if you have the Scarlet 15 or Grey 10 dining plan, they reset every week on Saturday morning. So Friday night go to a marketplace and use the rest of them. Second, bring at least one business casual outfit. Two, if you're a business student because you'll need it way sooner than you think. Career fairs, presentations, networking, just trust me. Freshman, go to Welcome Week. Or if you're a transfer student, go to Welcome Week, go to the Involvement Fair. You will meet so many new people at these events. Join some clubs, don't join 10 clubs. Join like two or three and be really involved in those couple clubs rather than joining like five clubs and then you have club meetings every night of the week. You don't have any free time. So this is really specific, but if you live in the towers, Morale Lincoln Tower, most freshman do. So if you live in the towers, you need to really understand that you are 20 minutes away from everything. Yes, you need to leave 30 minutes before class starts because you will all likely have to walk up a staircase. You do not want to be the person who walks in five minutes late. I've seen professors make examples out of students who do that. So just be aware. Something else, buy comfortable walking shoes. And I'm not just talking about sneakers, just like comfortable walking shoes in general because you will likely hit 10,000 steps, if not up to 15,000 steps every day without even really trying. So you're gonna want shoes that don't hurt your feet. Follow along if you plan on coming to Ohio State because I post about all the best events, pop-ups on campus, and everything you need to know before you get here.
