This is going to sound harsh, but there may come a point in your relationship where this is a needed conversation. And it goes something like this. I love you. I will probably always love you, and I'm grateful for you. But I'm no longer interested in the version of myself that I have become in trying to hold this relationship together. It looks like our season together has come to a fork in the road, and I need to choose the path that honours who god is calling me to be. I'm not asking you to change. I'm not asking you to adjust. I accept who you are. But in honouring who I am, I need to take a different path. Now, I know that sounds like a hard conversation, and it is. Trust me. I know it's a hard conversation. But here's the thing. There are hard conversations in life, and you have to choose when it's your time to have that hard conversation. As this started, you may have felt a tightening in your chest that meant you were relating to part of the conversation. But here's what you're holding on to and why you haven't had this conversation yet. It's a habit, it's a belief. It's just familiar old ground that you're kind of comfortable in. But, you know, something has to shift. So the sooner you have the tough conversation, the sooner you can start growing in the way that you're intended to be growing. Now, if You think you might need some help having this conversation? There are some resources in my bio. Love you.
