International job application Update

So I applied for a job that was located in Vienna, Austria, because if I'm going to get a real job, like, let's have it be abroad. And the best part about me finding it on Instagram is the way you applied was literally just emailing your resume and cover letter and all of the things to a specific email. Lo and behold, I actually got a response first of all, and then I actually got a first round interview. Now, when it comes to the actual skills of the job and the skills that I possess, I am definitely qualified to do the job, but I really didn't think much of it because, like, it's abroad. I didn't know if they were looking to sponsor a visa. Like, there's a lot of logistics that go into an American going to work abroad, to the point where during my interview, they literally ask, like, you're not secretly a, you know, like a E.U. National heritage that you could get a second passport? Unfortunately, heritage wise, I'm Norwegian, and they are not giving in that out to, like, third and fourth generation. Nevertheless, in the interview, I can have mad respect. Like, he gets on and he was like, I'm gonna be really honest. There's people that are like, E.U. Citizens that are equally and even more qualified than mine. He says, but we wanna find a way to work together, because we love what you do and we love the what you've been able to accomplish in the handball world, by the way. The job was for the European Handball Federation, so I'm talking with the director again next week and I really don't have a lot of information on what it's gonna look like to work together. The job application is not a dead end, and in some capacity I hopefully will be working with the handball federation.
