Medical mystery continues

Three weeks ago, I had routine ACL surgery, and basically overnight, I became a medical mystery, because on night three, I woke up with really, really bad calf pain. Thought nothing of it. I thought that maybe I just, like, slept with my brace too tight, or I was sleeping with my foot flex, you know, like, obviously my leg went through medical trauma. And after briefly mentioning it in a video, I actually got a DM from a medical student that told me, you should really go get that checked out. I contacted my surgeon, and she was very adamant about me coming in, getting it checked out again. I thought nothing of it. I am a pretty healthy person. I don't take any other medication. I was taking the aspirin that they prescribed. I was moving my foot. I was doing all of the things that I should be doing. Not to mention that I am relatively young, and I am not, like, at high risk for a blood clot. Day 5, I found myself in the emergency room after having a ultrasound on my calf proving that I have a DVT, which stands for deep vein thrombosis. So it's like, literally a blood clot in your vein, in your leg. Other than it being, like, super painful, it is a somewhat high risk because if the blood clot breaks up, it can go to your lungs or your heart and, like, literally kill you. Which is why they were taking it extremely seriously. So they prescribed me a higher dose blood thinner. And I actually found out that when you take blood thinners, it doesn't actually break up the blood clot. It just makes it so that your blood doesn't clot anymore. But your body has to actually work the blood clot out, so it takes a bit of time. I then had my two week routine follow up appointment to take the stitches out. And I was gonna have this appointment anyway, and the doctors were just lord at why I got this blood clot. Usually when blood clots come from these surgeries, they come within like two weeks, but four days was way too early. I told them like, maybe I slept with my brace too tight. And they were like, that shouldn't do it like that. That just shouldn't happen. And the mystery still prevails. But I'm going to a hematologist where they're going to do special blood test and another ultrasound to make sure that the blood clot has passed.
