EasyJet flight allocation... I want to talk to you guys about seats on flights and how the freaking freak it works, because I have no idea. I took a flight on Monday from Gatwick to Lyon and when I got to the counter to check in and to deposit my baggage, they told me, oh, you haven't booked a seat, so you might not have a place on the flight. I'm like, excuse me, I've bought a plane ticket for this plane to get me home to Lyon. What's going on? And they said, well, you didn't book a seat. No, I didn't because I don't care where I sit. I don't care if it's aisle, middle, or window. No one cares. And 15 minute flight, it doesn't matter. That's why I didn't book a seat. And they said, well, you didn't specify which seat you wanted, therefore you might not have a seat on the plane because we have oversold the flight. We've oversold the flight. And therefore those people that booked a specific seat might not get on. I'm like, sorry, what? As far as I'm concerned, I've booked a seat on the plane. I'm getting on the plane. If I'm on the plane, I'm going home. You know, I, I left South London at 4:30 in the morning to get this flight. Like, you know, I still got to drive an hour and a half, what the f are you telling me? Yeah, no, sorry. Cannot lah! = Singaporean for nope! I found it unacceptable. And there was a woman behind me. She was hilarious. She was completely unfiltered. She was like, what? What do you mean she can't get on the flight? She was really funny and I was like, come on. Anyway, apparently 13 other people had booked tickets but may or may not know? They were like, well, you've checked in first, on the flight. But the, the fear, the trepidations that I had before I was able to step on that flight were unnecessary. Don't make me pay for a seat when I've already bought a ticket on the bloody plane! What is this, EasyJet Diaries.
