It's Sunday in the French village, market day. The one where we just buy and pieces to top us up until Wednesday, big market. I only need a few bits today. Tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, and some fruit. Shall we see what's on offer? Come on then. Stall is on point with tomatoes today. I am definitely those gorgeous golden ones, those gorgeous golden ones, and probably some of those as well. Oh, some green ones. Is that not just a beautiful tomato lunch! Two grapefruits because I will go through those very fast. These pink grapefruit are so juicy. I actually had this morning. Get a bunch of these yellow nectarines. The melons are gorgeous and the melon king Ali will choose me one. I want it for tomorrow. Merci. Okay. Merci. God, that's heavy. He's just put and it's super heavy. That means it's gonna be good and juicy. And because it's melon season, some watermelon as well. Pasteque! Pasteque! Did you know that? Pasteque is watermelon in French! And Emre is so kind, he's actually packing my bag for me making sure that stuff's at the bottom and that the fruit doesn't get squashed. Merci Emre! Salut Se Merci, Merci. All the hello's and how are you's and a request for some cherries Um, pas beaucoup. Uh, up. Merci. C'est bon, merci. Oh, absolutely delicious. Sooo juicy! I'm gonna miss. I'm gonna miss season's over. Gotta make most of it. Eat them. The time. Now there's one thing at the market today, and that's lettuce. Gonna go to the green grocers they have any left. Can come with me. Lettuce has been secured from the he's off on holiday tomorrow, of the store has been emptied out. Sale. There were like three lettuces left, couple of avocados and a few peaches. wanted was a lettuce, so that's done. My earring just fell out. Alright, that. Coffee in the sunshine. Do you want one? I'm gonna get a café allongé. Let's go. It's not sunny but we're still outside. So it's not huge haul because it's Sunday needed a few bits, but I have lovely things today. Let me show you. Let me show you. I got a beautiful melon, two pink grapefruit, some yellow nectarines, were a gift from Emre. Some watermelon, a cucumber. I went to the bakery and got some bread. Um, I got some cherries from Ifsane and these wonderful from Emre and Ali's stall, then I picked up a salad in the green grocers. Whatever you're doing, have a gorgeous Sunday.
