If you genuinely think it's acceptable to go online and say I hate men, you've completely lost your mind. I'm so sorry. I will never put my name underneath that. If you wanna be one of those girls that's I'm just a girl, brat mentality. Hot girl summer. And that's how you wanna live your life? And you think men are the enemy? Fine, do that. But let's say how it is. Because hating men is not a personality trait, it's prejudice. I'm so worked up. Let me go get my coffee and sit down because. grown up conversation and talk about this properly, okay? Everyday I come across TikToks, reels, whatever of a woman proudly saying men are useless, men are trash, that they hate men and everyone in the comments is laughing and agreeing. Can we just stop and think about that for a second? Because imagine replacing the word men with almost any other group of people. You wouldn't dare. You wouldn't say an entire race was trash. You wouldn't say people from that race were only acceptable when they behaved more like another race, would you? So why have we decided blanket hatred is suddenly acceptable when the group happens to be men? What? Cause they can take it? Because we can't accept them for who they are. Men could never speak about women like this. All hell would break loose. And don't tell me it's a joke. It's not. You've made half the population a punchline at this point. Now, don't get it twisted. I'm not saying there aren't awful men out there. There absolutely are. Just like there are awful women out there. But you cannot make moral judgments about an entire sex because you had a bad experience or because an algorithm keeps feeding you rage bait. That's not wisdom, that's bias. And I actually think this is where the problem starts. I don't think enough women truly accept that men are different to us. Instead of accepting those differences, we criticise them, we shame them, we try to change them. We expect them to think like women, communicate like women, react like women, process emotions like women. And then we're disappointed when they don't. They're not women. That's the whole point. We don't have the same strengths, we don't have the same struggles, we don't have the same instincts. We're supposed to compliment each other, not compete to be the same person. And before anyone says I'm putting men on a pedestal or something, I'm not. Being a woman comes with a lot of its own challenges. I know that, believe me. But so does being a man. The difference is, I think we spend a lot of time talking about the pressures women face than we do what pressures men face. Men are expected to provide, to protect, to stay strong, to earn more, to keep going even when they're struggling. Never cry. They're constantly told To do better, be stronger, make more money, get fitter. be more successful. And yet, on top of all that, they're expected to just sit there while people casually joke that men are trash. I just don't think that's acceptable. Yet we're fighting to be accepted as we are, accept our bodies as we are, accept everything as they are. And then here's what really confuses me. So many women say they want healthy marriages, good husbands, good fathers, strong families. But then they'll publicly say they hate men. Who exactly do you think those husbands and fathers are? And if you have a son one day, do you realise you're teaching him that the category he belongs to is something he should apologise for before he's even done anything wrong? Imagine your little boy hearing men are trash, looking at himself and thinking. but I'm a boy. How do you think that lands? Maybe you're creating a self fulfilling prophecy, huh? Ever thought about that? Maybe you're trying to be the best mum you can, hon, I'm not taking that away from you. But if you've got this indoor bias against him without even realising, maybe you're creating the monsters you dread. Because if the message he hears growing up is that all men are dangerous, useless or trash, don't be surprised if he grows up feeling ashamed of something he never even chose or disconnected from a part of himself that should have been celebrated and guided instead. Maybe instead of constantly trying to change men into women, we should start appreciating what men bring because they're men. We don't have to be the same to have equal worth. In fact, I think the differences are exactly what makes great relationships work.. We keep talking about breaking toxic cycles. Maybe we should stop teaching people that prejudice is acceptable as long as it's aimed at the right group. Because if your version of equality starts with contempt for half the population, I don't think that's equality at all.
