7 things you SHOULD take into Disney World 🏰
...that can make your park day SO much easier.
#1 could save you a fortune
and #7 has saved us more than once.
👀
1. Your own food 🍎
YES
day. Think:
Sandwiches
Snacks
Fruit
Kids' snacks
Emergency queue snacks (parents know 😂)
Disney permits outside
food for personal
consumption, provided it
meets its rules
for
example, no glass
containers and nothing
requiring heating/
reheating/refrigeration.
Why I'd pack it:
Kids deciding they're
starving approximately
14 seconds after you've
joined a 60-minute queue.
2. Drinks & refillable water
bottles 💧
You can bring non-
alcoholic drinks into
the parks.
So pack those refillable
bottles rather than buying
bottled drinks all day.
Just remember: no glass
containers (with limited
exceptions such as small
baby-food jars).
PARK BAG TIP: Fill
everyone up before you
leave in the morning and
keep drinking throughout
the day. Florida heat +
tired children is not the
Disney magic we're
looking for.
3. A cooler 🧊
YES
you can bring a
cooler.
BUT...
Your bag/cooler can't be
larger than 24" long x 15"
wide x 18" high.
And loose or dry ice isn't
allowed
Disney
recommends reusable ice
packs instead.
Perfect for drinks and
snacks during a long park
day.
4. A stroller (even for
bigger kids!) 🫶
You can bring your own
stroller, provided it's no
larger than:
31" wide x 52" long.
But stroller wagons aren't
allowed.
Don't assume your child is
"too old" for one.
Disney involves miles of
walking, heat, late nights
and overstimulation.
A stroller can be transport,
shade, storage and
somewhere to crash.
You know your child.
5. Portable chargers 🔋
PACK. ONE.
Your phone gets used for
so much during a Disney
day:
My Disney Experience
Lightning Lane
Maps
Wait times
Mobile Order
Approximately 4,763
photos of your children
A portable charger is one
of those boring things
you'll be extremely
grateful you packed.
My tip: Charge the
power bank every night
not just your phone.
6. Your own rain gear ☔️
Ponchos. Compact
umbrella. Spare socks.
Florida can go from:
"What a gorgeous
day!"
to
"WE'RE ALL SOAKED."
...remarkably quickly.
Pack each person's
poncho in an individual zip
bag.
When the rain stops, the
wet poncho goes straight
back in without soaking
everything else in your
park bag.
7. A change of clothes 👕👖
YES
even if your kids are
past the toddler stage.
A spare outfit can be an
absolute lifesaver at
Disney.
Think:
Getting soaked on a ride
Florida downpours
Mickey ice cream
casualties
Spilled drinks
Water play areas
Sweaty clothes after
hours in the heat
PARK BAG TIP:
Roll a complete outfit
including underwear +
socks
into a zip-lock bag
for each child.
It takes up hardly any
room, keeps everything
dry and...
the same bag becomes
somewhere to put the
wet/dirty clothes
afterwards. 🫶
BONUS: Things I'd
ALWAYS have in my park
bag
Portable charger
Charging cable
Refillable water bottles
Snacks
Ponchos
Zip bags
Sunscreen
Sunglasses
Cooling fan
Plasters/blister patches
Spare socks
Change of clothes for
little ones
Wipes
Hand sanitiser
Hair bobbins
Any medication you
need
Something small to
entertain kids in queues
Screenshot this one. 👑
And before you finish
packing...
There are some things
Disney won't let you bring
in. 👀
Some are obvious.
Some really aren't.
Part 2 tomorrow: Things
to LEAVE AT HOME
before Disney World.
Follow so you don't
miss it.

What should you pack for a day at Disney World? 🏰🎒 Some of the things you’re allowed to take into the Disney parks can make your day SO much easier — especially when you’re doing Disney World with kids. You can bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks (subject to Disney’s current rules), refillable water bottles and even a cooler within Disney’s permitted dimensions. Then there are the things I’d personally want in our Disney park bag: ponchos, portable chargers, spare clothes, snacks and all the little things that can rescue a park day when you’re hot, wet, hungry or dealing with tired children. 😂 My biggest park-bag tip? Don’t pack for every possible disaster. Pack for the things that would be really annoying or expensive to deal with once you’re inside. 💜 Save this Disney World packing list for when you’re getting your park bags ready. 📌 And follow for Part 2 because next we’re doing the opposite: 👀 Things you should LEAVE AT HOME before going to Disney World. What is the ONE thing you always have in your Disney park bag? ⬇️ #DisneyWorld #DisneyPackingList #DisneyParkBag #DisneyWorldTips #DisneyPlanning
