If you listen to top producers, they don't sound like everyone else. They use the same phrases over and over because those phrases lower resistance, build trust, and move people towards certainty. Here's six phrases top performers use every single day. Phrase one: Help me understand. Instead of assuming, elite closers get curious. Help me understand what's making you feel that way. That one phrase will keep prospects from getting defensive and give you the real objection, not the fake one. Phrase two: Compared to what? When someone says it's too expensive, don't defend your price, simply ask, compared to what? Now they're forced to justify their own thinking instead of you justifying yours. Phrase three: Tell me more. This might be the most underrated phrase in all of sales. Every time a prospect gives you a short answer, just say, tell me more. The pain usually lives in the second or third answer, not the first. Phrase number four: Walk me through that. Someone says I need to think about it, don't argue, say, walk me through what's on your mind. Now you've opened the conversation instead of ending it. Phrase five: What if nothing changes? Elite closers don't create pressure, they create perspective. This question forces prospects to compare today's pain with tomorrow's consequences. Phrase six: It sounds like. This is how you build trust. It sounds like your biggest concern isn't money, it's making the wrong decision. Anytime the prospect feels understood, sales resistance drops dramatically. Did you notice something? None of these phrases sound pushy. Elite closers don't win by talking more, they win by asking better questions.
