When somebody lowballs you...Never defend your price. Instead, do this... When somebody tells you your price is too high, the worst thing you can do is start defending it. And yet, that's exactly what most men do. Man, that's expensive. Or they hit you with some ridiculously low number and you immediately start talking. Everything, our quality is better. Let me explain why we charge that. Stop. Because you defend your price, you've given them full control of the conversation. You're now in a position where you have to prove yourself to them. Don't do that. Instead, here's how I handle it. First, slow everything down. If they throw out a low number, repeat it back. 55. And then shut up. Seriously, whatever you do, do not rescue them from the silence. Silence creates pressure. And here's the beautiful thing. You're not the one feeling it. Silence, prospects will immediately start walking their own number back. Well, maybe we could dot dot dot. Let them. Second, you have to get curious instead of defensive. Say something like, help me understand with now happens. Instead of you having to justify your price, they're justifying theirs. You've flipped without confrontation. And third, the best negotiation is no negotiation. If their number makes no sense at all, just say something like, hey, that number is just not all changes. Know me. If something changes, you know me. On attitude, minute and desperately save what. Don't value sell desperately price your your willing away line. This most losing loses negotiation.
