Gap's rebrand is quite literally a masterclass in marketing. Gap was iconic in the 90s and early 2000s. But then as trends started to change, they had a bit of an identity crisis, the fast fashion brand. Fast forward to 2021, vintage styles start trending again and the classic Gap logo hoodie is going viral. The aritziafication of Gap. Gap ran with this, focusing on what made them amazing back in the day, which is high quality staples at a reasonable price point. And they even brought back their classic dancing ads, but reimagined for the TikTok era and partnered with cultural standouts like Cat's Eye and Young Miko. This is such a great reminder to stop chasing trends and trying to be like everybody else. And always remember what makes your brand unique.
