Share this with someone who’d make this for you 🥭 Mango rasayana is a coconut milk based dish which tastes heavenly with / idlis/kadabu or for a slightly more indulgent version, with puris It can also be had as a dessert straight out of the fridge . I prefer it mild sweet. Now that it’s mango season, you have to try this 🥰 (Note- This recipe has been shared from my family's kitchen and personal experience over the years. If you recreate or share it, I'd appreciate a credit to @handfulofflour. ) 🍃☘️ Ingredients • 3–4 ripe sweet mangoes (finely chopped) • Sugar or jaggery 2 tsp (adjusted to taste) • 1 fresh coconut (grated, for coconut milk) • ½–1 tsp cardamom powder, 2-3 whole cardamom • 1–2 tsp black sesame seeds Method 1. Finely chop the mangoes. Mix chopped mangoes with sugar and set aside. 2. Extract coconut milk**from grated coconut (1–2 times) using a muslin cloth and add the milk to the mangoes. Mix well. Adjust sugar if needed 3. Lightly dry roast black sesame seeds in a pan and add a few cardamom seeds. 4. Add this to the mixture, sprinkle extra cardamom powder to make it more fragrant , and mix gently. You can have this as a dessert cold from the fridge or have it with idlis/kadabu or even puris ☺️🌸❤️ (How to Extract Coconut Milk (Easy Method)** • Use fresh grated coconut • Add to a blender with a little warm water • Blend for 20–30 seconds till it looks milky • Strain through a sieve or cloth • Press well → this is your first (thick) coconut milk • Add a little more water to the same coconut • Blend + strain again → this is thinner coconut milk) #southindianfoodlove #karnatakafood #easyindianrecipes #healthyindianrecipes #mangaloreanfood
