Can Adidas actually take market share from Alo? Adidas is finally getting into women's pilates and strength activewear and has Tate McRae as the face of this new Sports Collection, and this feels like Adidas's attempt to win women back into the brand. And in a smart way, it feels like they're copying the Alo Playbook. Alo wants the coolest celebrities wearing their brand, and Alo wants their activewear to double as fashion and streetwear. Then when you see Adidas's campaign, it feels like that's exactly what they're trying to do. They have one of the hottest celebrities wearing their activewear, Tate McRae, and they're positioning their activewear as something you can wear at the gym and outside the gym. So it feels like Adidas is trying to pull all the stops to get women back into the brand. But my big question is why didn't they do this sooner? Adidas is known for their stripes and striped activewear has been taking off. So Adidas should have owned the striped activewear space way before because it's a part of their brand identity. Yet they let other brands beat them to it. So Adidas is actually not trying to just beat Alo, they're trying to beat all those brands that took their striped market share. Now what do you think of Adidas's strategy? And would you try their new Sports Collection?
