Hook

I never said that. Oops, did I upset you? It's not that big of a deal. No, tell me, I'll listen. You're twisting my words. Now that you explain it, I can totally see how that hurt your feelings. It's always something with you. You always do this. I have a dry sense of humor, but I took that too far. Nothing is ever good enough for you, is it? Thanks for telling me. Look at you, you're acting crazy. I never want to hurt your feelings on purpose. What about all the times you've hurt me? I'm sorry. You owe me an apology. Hey, are you okay? No, what are you doing over there? I'm taking accountability for my actions. You can't just go around apologizing like that, you'll be seen as weak. Well, my relationships aren't based on power and control, they're based on love and understanding. Okay, well, people's feelings are not facts. I'm not going to argue with someone's perception of me, I'm not in their body. People will just make stuff up to take advantage of you. I wouldn't be friends with people who do that. Okay, well, people will make you apologize for things that you didn't even do. If I truly don't think I did what they're saying I did, I'll still listen to understand how I came across. Sometimes our actions can create harm in someone's world, even if we didn't mean to. But I don't like being called out. I know, but sometimes we all need to, because intent doesn't erase harm. I like your energy, can we be friends? No. What? Why? Because you use the Darvo tactic to avoid accountability and I don't let people like that into my life. Oh, so you think you're better than me? You're doing it right now. When you get called out, you deny that it happened, attack the person's character, and then act like a victim in the problem that you created. Well, I don't mean to. I know, it's a defence mechanism that you probably learned in childhood. So it's a bad habit that you need to unlearn. But it's not my job to teach you how to be a respectful adult. That's work you have to do on your own. But I want access to you, so how can I prove that I can be better? Take accountability and apologize to them for being so rude. Never. Okay, I gotta go.
