an active girly weekend away at..

This is my second time at this hotel. If you're planning a trip to Lanzarote and thinking about staying at the Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort, then this one is for you. I stayed at this hotel two years ago on a solo trip with my friend and I. Spent a few days here last week, so I'm gonna give you a little round up. As we all know, TikTok is the best place for holiday research these days, or it certainly is for me. The word active in the name may put me off when looking for a holiday, but the active part is very much optional. And I still think this would be a lovely holiday if you didn't use any of the active facilities. The gym is really well equipped and has a lovely outdoor area and it's a really nice place to train. But we went, went it opened at like seven and I did get quite a bit busy, so it was hard to use the equipment at some points, but I feel like that's normal. The Olympic pool is an actual charge of four euros for an hour, but I think that means that it doesn't really get that crowded. And it's 50 meters. You need a swim cap, so I can imagine it's perfect for serious swimmers. You can hire bikes, so I'm sure you can see a lot more of what's around that way. And there's a path along the coast which is a nice 5K walk there. And back. So getting your 10K steps in is no problem. I really think it is a perfect hotel if you're wanting an active holiday in the sun or if you're training for something specific. They even host triathlons on a Wednesday. And the food was all very nice and fresh, lots of options for both healthier and typical hotel food like pizzas and stuff like that. And also the ice cream is 10 out of 10. We had one quite literally after every meal. The rooms were very spacious and bright and Bry and they very kindly got an upgrade, which was a gorgeous surprise. But even my room last time I stayed here was lovely. And the beds are very, very comfy. Anyone who's been to an all inclusive before knows the nightmare of the sunbeds. But here they actually had ropes around the pool until they opened at nine, which is good. So you can get a bed. But there were people queuing from like half past and quite literally running for sunbeds. So there you go. I had a lovely time. The frozen cocktails were delicious. We got our steps in and we ate them very well. And the shop in the town were fantastic. If you're too girly pops like me looking for an active or just a normal relaxing holiday, then this is a good option.
