Dear @target No beef Target but you messed with my kids sooooo... #target #kids #dobetter_ more Also that doesn’t even look like a place for kids to play 😭 ##fyp##trending##work##cringe##parents So let me get this straight. She's mad at a Target employee for doing their job because they told her kids, hey, you can't play on a display case and yet somehow that's Target's fault. And that actually makes so much sense because every kid should be able to do exactly what they want in every store. It doesn't matter if the Target employee said it's not allowed. Parents like this always trip me up because, for one, why are you not parenting your kids? Why does a Target employee have to do that? And number two, why are you getting mad at them for doing their job and trying to keep it safe for everybody? When I was a lifeguard, I dealt with one parent like this because she got mad at me that I wouldn't let her daughter do a back handspring into the pool. Because essentially this girl was like nine or 10 years old and she was trying to do a back handspring into the pool and I told her, hey, like you can't do that. And the mom got really mad because she was like, oh, well, she's in gymnastics, she knows how to do it, like she does it at our home pool all the time. And I was like, cool, but you can't do it here. And it took her way too long to finally understand that if she slipped or she misjudged it, she would either crack her head open or break something. And unfortunately, a good amount of parents like that exist in the world and it just really frustrates me because I understand you want to let your kids have fun, but you cannot have fun at the expense of some of the rules and safety that the workers have to implement.
