If I was paying $20,000 a year for school because that's what it costs at Penn State and you put me in a dorm that's shared with seven other people, that would be enough for me to unenroll. Like something like that should never be acceptable. And the reason they have something like supplemental housing is because they over admit students, they don't have enough dorm rooms, so they turn these like study rooms and other buildings that weren't meant to be dorm rooms into these buildings. Like everything about it sounds horrible. Let's just go through each one. Privacy, for example. You have zero privacy, okay? Because you have seven other people in this shared room. And let's say even half of them aren't there, there's always at least one or two people in the room with you. So are you really ever alone? And then I think about like the noise, you know? When is everybody going to sleep? Because everyone's not going to sleep at the same time. They'll be in and out of the room. So someone's lights are on, like how are you balancing that? And then think about like having friends over, you know? One person has their friends over and now you have 10 people in the room. Or you know, most people have their friends over and then you have like 12, 15, 18 people in a room. And then think about like the drama, you know? With seven other people that you're probably don't really know. Like how are you going to coexist? Because it's hard enough to live with one person, but imagine living with seven other people in an open layout concept. So these schools that do this, but then charge, you know, tens of thousands of dollars for tuition, it is so slimy and it just shouldn't be allowed.
