Hook
If you're moving into your college dorm room, don't take up 80% of the space before your roommate actually gets to move in. I'm seeing these videos of people, you know, decorating their rooms, moving in, but they're taking up like way more than half the room. They're going onto the other side of the room by the other person's bed. And while I like, understand you want to make your room your own, you want to have, you know, your own touch to it. You are still sharing a dorm room. And it is selfish to leave your roommate with like 5 feet of room to move in and put their stuff when you've taken up 90% of the room. And it's really not that hard to stay on your half of the room. Like I remember my freshman year, I moved in like two or three hours before my roommate. All my stuff stayed on my side of the room. Now, sure, there were some things that we shared, you know, like the rug, whatever may have been, but like, our main things, we didn't like encroach on each other's spaces. I feel like it's a respect thing when it comes to any shared space, but especially when it's a dorm room where you're living with somebody for an entire year. You guys need to make sure that you both are fairly compensated with how you guys set up your space.
