Twenty 29 years old, no savings, no house, no investments, no late. Can I tell you something I wish more people heard? I don't think you're mourning the money. I think you're mourning the version of yourself you wish had started sooner. Look, I'm 36 now and I only started this journey when I was 33. I also asked the same exact thing to myself, "Yung mapapaisip ka na lang na kung ginawa ko lang 'to 5 years ago, buhay, iba na buhay ko ngayon." Here's the thing: "You did the best you could with the knowledge you had in that moment." Based on what she knew, what she was going through, and what she thought would make her happy. Today's version of you knows better. So don't spend your present punishing your past. Because then 5 years from now, you'll be saying the exact same thing about today. Instead, let today be the day you finally start! You're 29. Imagine being 39 with an emergency fund, with investments, looking back and saying, "Thank God I started at 29." The only thing truly late is you waiting another year because you think you already waited too long. So no, you're not too late. You're simply earlier than the version of you who keeps putting it off. Your future self isn't asking you to go back in time. She's just asking that you start.
